Need to Read (N2R) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to ensuring every child—especially those in under-resourced communities—enters school with the literacy foundation needed to thrive.
We provide families with age-appropriate books, parent training, and community-based reading resources that build strong preliteracy and early literacy skills.
We envision a future where every child starts school ready to read—and ready to succeed. By investing early in children and empowering their parents, we are building stronger families, stronger schools, and stronger communities.
